Lenovo company has finally announced that its new smartphone P2 will be made available in India exclusively via the ecommerce platform Flipkart on Wednesday, January 11. The smartphone's India launch has been already revealed by the company earlier this month on the social media sites. Even though the company's earlier teaser didn't mention any release date for the smartphone, Lenovo has now finally said that the P2 will be unveiled on Wednesday at 12:30pm IST.

The Lenovo P2 was first unveiled by the company officially earlier last year at IFA 2016 and has been made available in many other regions, including its home country China, already. Notably, in China, only 4GB LPDDR4 RAM variant with 64GB of inbuilt onboard storage has been made available whereas in other regions around the globe variants with 3GB or 4GB LPDDR3 RAM with 32GB of inbuilt onboard storage will be made available.

In India, even the phone is expected to be made available with both the mentioned variants of memory and storage. The highlight feature for the Lenovo P2 is its battery of 5100mAh, which comes with support for fast charging. Lenovo's dual-SIM smartphone runs on the Android version of 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box, and has a 5.5-inch full-High Definition Super AMOLED display. The Lenovo P2 is powered and supported by a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 processor, and as it has been already said by the company, that the smartphone is coupled with the memory options of 3GB or 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM.

On the photography department, the smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel primary camera which is on the rear with a Sony IMX258 sensor and a 5-megapixel camera at the front of the smartphone for taking selfies and video calling. The phone has a unibody metal design and comes with either 32GB or 64GB of inbuilt onboard storage, with the option to extend memory further via the micro SD card of up to 128GB. On the connectivity options, the Lenovo P2 offers the 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.1, and FM radio. The smartphone is expected to be made available in two color variants Champagne Gold and Graphite Grey.
