Sony Xperia XZs smartphone with the technology of Motion Eye camera has been launched in India. It has been given a best buy price of Rs. 49,990, while the MRP of the smartphone is Rs. 51,990. The new Sony smartphone will be available on the ecommerce platform Flipkart and in offline retail stores from 11th of April. The smartphone will be available in three color variants of Ice Blue, Warm Silver, and Black and the dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) variant has been launched in India.

The Sony Xperia XZs was initially launched by the Japanese company at an event in MWC 2017 along with Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XA1, and Xperia XA1 Ultra smartphones. The main and major highlight of the smartphone is the 19-megapixel Motion Eye camera - with super slow motion video recording, and the capable Snapdragon 820 SoC.

Sony Xperia XZs is simply a smaller variant of the company sXperia XZ smartphone, and has a 5.2-inch full-High Definition (1080x1920 pixels) Triluminos display. The single-SIM smartphone runs on the Android version 7.0 Nougat, and is powered and supported by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor which is coupled with Adreno 510 GPU and RAM of 4GB. The device bears 64GB of inbuilt onboard storage, with a option to expand further via the microSD slot of up to 256GB.

On the photography department, the Sony Xperia XZs smartphone packs with a 19-megapixel Motion Eye camera with a 1/ 2.3-inch Exmor RS memory stacked sensor with Mobile BIONZ sensor. Its 13-megapixel front shooter is no slouch either, with a 22mm broad-angle lens, an aperture of f/2.0, and Steady Shot 5-axis stabilization.

Sony Xperia XZs also features IP65/68 rating for both the resistance of dust and water. The Xperia XZs houses a battery of 2900mAh with support for hybrid charging - Qnovo adaptive charging and Quick Charge 3.0. The device measurements are 146x72x8.1 mm and weighs around 161 grams. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C (USB 3.1) port. The sensors on the device include proximity sensor, magnetometer, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and gyroscope.
